All registered participants who commit to raising $250 by the end of the Big Event are eligible to attend. Register today on DonorDrive to start fundraising!
+ What should I bring to the Big Event?
A participant packing list will be posted closer to April, but for now we can give you the basics!
- Comfy shoes
- Refillable water bottle
- Phone charger
- Polaroids, disposable cameras, etc
- Costumes for theme hours (it's more fun when you join in!)
- A list of people you could ask for donations for your local children's hospital
- A full night's rest and an excitement to change kids' health!
+ What should I wear to the Big Event?
Make sure to bring costumes and accessories for all 3 theme hours - too much spirit isn't possible!
When in doubt, you can never go wrong with your favorite DM merch items!
Big Event
What is the Big Event?
The Big Event is Dance Marathon at LSU’s annual Party with a Purpose! We are so excited to return to our home in the PMAC in April 2024 for music, games, costumes, food, and to hear the stories of our Miracle Families impacted by our local children’s hospital.
This event is open to EVERYONE, but all registered LSU student participants (register HERE) gain access to the full experience, including an event t-shirt, 2 meal times, incentives and buttons galore, and so much more!
For 10 hours, we will stand on our feet as one student body united behind the mission of changing kids’ health and changing the future.
The event will end with a Power/Rave Hour and our total fundraising reveal for the year. We believe that making an impact on your community can and should be fun, and we know that bad dancing can save lives! You won’t want to miss out on our biggest Big Event yet, so register today!

+ What is the Big Event?
The Big Event is Dance Marathon at LSU's annual Party with a Purpose! It is a 10-hour celebration of the miracles college students are able to make for the next generation when we band together.
The Big Event marks the conclusion of our fundraising year and is a time for our entire campus to connect with each other and our Miracle Families.
+ When is the Big Event?
The 2024 Dance Marathon at LSU Big Event will be in April 2024.
+ Where will the Big Event be?
The Big Event will be held in the Pete Maravich Assembly Center (PMAC), where LSU basketball games are held!

+ What is a Theme Hour?
There will be 3 theme hours throughout the 12-hour event. To keep the event exciting, we have costume changes and themed games every few hours!

+ Where should I park?
You can park in lot 401 or 402 by tiger stadium! It is just a short walk over to the PMAC!
